Ana Ballabriga (1977, Candasnos, Huesca) y David Zaplana (1975, Cartagena, Región de Murcia) se conocieron en Valencia, cuando él estudiaba Ingeniería de telecomunicaciones y ella Psicología.Pronto descubrieron que compartían el placer de la lectura y de la escritura y en esa época comenzaron a hilvanar su primera novela. Tras recibir algunos premios por relatos, en 2007 se editó Tras el sol de Cartagena, y en 2010 Morbo gótico. En 2016 ganaron el Premio Literario de Amazon con su novela Ningún escocés verdadero, y en 2018 publicaron La paradoja del bibliotecario ciego.
